A seriously injured woman was airlifted to hospital after an accident on the N12 near the Atlas Road off-ramp on Saturday afternoon.
Shawn Herbst, spokesperson for Netcare 911, said the accident happened at 1.30pm.
Reports from the scene indicated that two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision. A woman sustained serious injuries and three other people minor injuries.
“The three patients that sustained minor injuries were transported by Emer-G-Med road ambulance to hospital. The seriously injured patient was treated on scene by a Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioner.
“The Netcare 2 specialised helicopter ambulance was called to the scene who rapidly flew the seriously injured patient to hospital for further treatment,” Herbst said.
