Metro Minds gives out over 150 ‘blessing bags’ on #MandelaDay

The company will also deliver some of the hampers to the girls at John Wesley Children’s Home soon.

THERE is nothing more heart-warming than the feeling of knowing that you have made someone’s day extra special.

“And that is exactly what the Metro Minds team set out to do for our 67 minutes for Madiba,” Lizelle Fourie of Metro Minds said.

Metro Minds, a training institute, took to the streets of Kempton on Mandela Day and gave out over 150 ‘blessing bags’, which were filled with essential toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, face cloths, deodorant, sanitary pads and Vaseline. The hampers also came with a special chocolate slab treat.

“Our mission was to make someone’s day by giving them a blessing bag with basic essentials and a message letting them know that they matter, they are loved and that they are beautiful. And although the focus was to brighten the day of women who work hard to provide for their loved ones, some gents were delighted to know that they had not been forgotten too.”

The company will also deliver some of the hampers to the girls at John Wesley Children’s Home soon.

Metro Minds would like to thank all the sponsors, including Print Junction, Birchleigh Buurtwag, Expeditors, Noags Market, Coats and More, Imperial Toyota, Engen Glen Marais, Epimax, Fuge, CPRD Consulting, Bluegums Party Venue, Rene Welgemoed, Carina Foord, Madri van der Walt and the numerous anonymous sponsors.
