John Wesley girls get goodie bags and delicious breakfast

The initiative is to help those in need within the Kempton Park and East Rand community through donations

TWELVE young women from John Wesley Children’s Home received goodie bags and a delicious and filling breakfast, courtesy of Premier Hotel OR Tambo and CIGFARO.

CIGFARO (The Chartered Institute of Government Finance, Audit & Risk Officers), in partnership with the four-star hotel, hosted the girls from the home on July 3.

“This was a joint effort of providing for the less fortunate as part of Mandela Month initiatives,” Esther Gumata from CIGFARO communications explained.

The goodie bags, sponsored by the hotel, contained bathroom luxuries such as soap, bath salts, dried rose petals for bath water as well as lip balms.

“The initiative is to help those in need within the Kempton Park and East Rand community through donations, among others things. John Wesley Children’s Home is the home identified and serves as a home for teenage girls who have been neglected, abused or abandoned and deemed in need of care by the Children’s Court.”
