Police are still on the scene of an armed robbery which occurred at Swissport earlier this morning.
When Express visited the scene it became clear the highway was never affected, only the Voortrekker Road on-ramp and various surrounding streets in the central business district. Traffic in the area is severely affected.
Werner Vermaak of ER24 said they were called to the scene at around 11am.

“A man, believed to be a suspect, was shot and killed near Voortrekker Road. Paramedics found a man with a gunshot wound to his head. There was nothing that could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene,” Vermaak said.
So far Express could not obtain any further information from police on the scene.
