Gogo Elizabeth Mojaki’s house received a complete revamp this month.

Gogo Mojaki’s birthday is in October and the revamp allowed her to celebrate in style.

“One day our Pastor mentioned in passing that I should be honoured for my dedication to the church. When I was told I am going to Durban for a week I thought that was it,” said Gogo Mojaki.

Gogo Mojaki was sent away with her two sisters on an all-expenses-paid vacation.

She flew to Durban on October 9 and on her birthday, October 10, the congregation rolled up their sleeves to completely change Gogo Mojaki’s house.

Church spokesperson Mr Simon Ntshayintshayi said every piece of furniture in Gogo Mojaki’s house was given away.

“We bought new furniture, including a fully-fitted kitchen unit, a fitted wall wardrobe, a new lounge suite, a new dinning room suite and a big plasma television,” said Mr Ntshayintshayi.

When Gogo Mojaki returned on October 15, when the church hosted a thanksgiving party at the Praise Mountain Bible Church in Isiziba Section.

Thereafter she was driven in a convoy of flashy cars to her revamped house in Moteong Section.

“I was surprised. I couldn’t even stand. The community said I am a person of miracles. That is because I don’t discriminate against people. When you serve God with all your heart, God doesn’t look at your face, he looks at your hard work,” said Gogo Mojaki.

She said she wants to thank the congregation, Pastor Mathabathe and his wife Mrs Mathabathe for the gesture. She said it wouldn’t have been possible without them.

“I would advise every church member to serve God with all their hearts,” said Gogo Mojaki.

Mr Ntshayintshayi said the Praise Mountain Bible Church began in 1995 and Gogo Mojaki offered her house to be used for worship services. Today the church has six branches across the country.

“Gogo Mojaki is honoured for her sacrifices and her dedication to the church. She used her own money to pay the church’s expenses when we started,” said Mr Ntshayintshayi.
