Fun at Birch Acres créche pyjama party

Infants and tots geared up in their gowns and slippers and danced the day away at their pre-school pyjama party

IT was a fun and eventful day not only for the babies and toddlers at the Disney Junior Day Care Centre in Birch Acres, but the teachers and principal also enjoyed dressing up in their nightwear for the pyjama party held.

Infants and tots geared up in their gowns and slippers at the event which was held on Friday.

Some were singing at the top of their lungs, while others were clapping and dancing. One thing was for sure: they were having fun.

“We have a year plan where we host different themed parties for the kids such as vintage, Valentine’s and now the pyjama party. Since it’s July and still a bit cold we thought it was a great idea to host a pyjama party at this time of the year,” explained the principal and founder of the day care centre Bankele Chipanga.

The children enjoyed a cake, hot dogs and jumping castle but mostly sang and danced the day away.

Disney Junior Day Care Centre is a year and six months old and has a baby care centre as well as an aftercare centre for grades one to four.

The day care centre and sister baby care centre are set across the road from each other in Umtholo Street, Birch Acres.

Chipanga has around 88 children enrolled in all the centres she offers from newborns to six-year-olds.
