Police nab two suspects
The Tembisa SAPS has arrested one person in connection with an armed robbery.
An SBV van was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash recently, by nine men.
According to the Tembisa Cluster Commander, General Vincent Leshabane, the police responded to information received from community members and managed to arrest one of the suspects.
The 43-year-old man was arrested in Midrand and was in possession of a large amount of cash and three firearms.
Another eight suspects are still at large.
In a separate incident, the Tembisa SAPS also arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with the rape of an 18-year-old boy.
Both suspects are due to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court soon.
