Celebrities grace pageant’s launch

The organisers of the Miss Tembisa Beauty Contest have launched the 2013-2014 competition at the ABI offices in Clayville recently.

According to the organisers’ spokesperson, Pearl Manzi, they were impressed by the caliber of people who graced the event.

“We were honoured by the presence of Minister Thulas Nxesi, SABC 1 presenter Pearl Modiadie and Miss Earth SA Amanda Mdiki. Modiadie and Mdiki are former Miss Tembisa beauty queens,” she said.

They also honoured their previous sponsors, current sponsors and the Miss Tembisa ambassadors.

Some of the sponsors honoured were De Beers, MSC College, ABI, Thabile Trade, MTTV and Pitch Black Hair Cosmetics. The Miss Teen Beauty Contest will be held on November 16 at the Lord Khanyile Hall, while the real Miss Tembisa Beauty Contest will be held on November 30 at the Rabasotho Hall.
