“The problem is that the system the government is using to arrest problems like drug abuse and rape is wrong. Our classes are overcrowded and it is not possible to address such issues in a packed classroom,” he said.
According to the young man, government must focus on a small group, which will then impart information to their peers.
“The youth understand issues better when told by their peers. The youth must always remember it is our lives we are destroying. We must learn to be responsible,” he said.
When asked if distributing condoms at schools will help fight against Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases, some actors say distributing condoms is the wrong decision.
“The government is busy teaching children about condomising by taking condoms to school. Distributing condoms is a way of telling us we must have sexual relationships. The youth have been having sex for many years, but encouraging us directly is wrong,” said one of the actors.
