Makate twins celebrates 69
Makate twins, Reneilwe Tjiyane and Lucas Makate, celebrated their 69 birthday party at the Tembisa Old Age Home on Tuesday last week.
The party was supported by family members, friends, neighbours and women from the centre. Tjiyane said that since they are members of the Busisiwe choir, which was formed for the aged, they decided to share their special cake with the women. “We feel blessed to grow older together. We are still going strong and are still able to do things for ourselves. My brother and I grew up looking after each otherand we are now looking after each other’s families as we are all married. It is a great experience to be a twin,” said Tjiyane . She added that twins run in the family.
The Makate twins organised the birthday party for themselves to have fun with the women from the home. “I thank everybody who made the party so great, it means a lot to us,” said Tjiyane.
