Tembisa Court clerk jailed

Tshepiso Tsotetsi (24) from Temong section in Tembisa has been sentenced to three years in jail.

He was sentenced in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court after being found in possession of dagga, police dockets and defeating the ends of justice.

According to the Tembisa SAPS spokesperson, Constable Tebogo Sesing, police received a tip-off from members of the community at Temong section.

“The police went to the house and found Tsotetsi, who was in possession of dagga. They also noticed a bag which was on top of his wardrobe. Inside were three court-going dockets, which were scheduled to be presented in court the following day. The dockets were for a house robbery, car-hijacking and a suspected stolen motor vehicle,” he said.

According to Const Sesing, it was later established that Tsotetsi was a clerk at the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court. During his appearance in court, Tsotetsi confessed to the crime and was sentenced to three years direct imprisonment.
