Hip hop competition comes to Tembisa

Up and coming young hip hop sensation, Karabo 'K-Dog' Mokoena, is organising the Hip Hop Dancing Competition to be held at the Moses Molelekwa Art Centre.

He has asked one of the best event organisers in Tembisa and the surrounding areas, Kenneth Sithagu, to help him organise the event, which will be held from September 21to September 24.

In an exclusive interview, he said he wants the competition to be the best ever organised in Tembisa.

“I think I am in my own league when it comes to Hip Hop music in the East Rand. I want to see other hip hop artists competing for the first prize. Artists should not worry about money, because winners will really smile all the way to the bank as I have a solid sponsorship,” he said.

Asked about the main aim of organising such an event, Kenneth Sithagu said they would also like to teach children about the dangers of smoking nyaope.

“Nyaope is becoming a dangerous drug that is destroying our youth, and it is up to us to stop this by getting our children together to talk to them. There is no better platform than organising competitions for them,” he said. For more information about the competiton, phone Sithagu on 078 656 8583
