Rape survivor talks at Women’s Day event

Women will take centre stage at an inspired high tea and motivational talk at Carnival City in celebration of Women’s Day on August 9.

Dynamic speaker and founder of the Jes Foord Foundation, Jes Foord, will talk about the power of women while guests indulge in a spread of sumptuous treats.

This 21-year-old woman survived being raped by four men and despite the horror of this ordeal, rose above it by creating something good from the bad which transpired in her life.

5FM’s Nicole da Silva will join Jes as MC of the event.

Tickets cost R185 at Computicket. The event starts at 10am.
