The movie, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, will be screened at Suikerbosrand on May 12.
This is a follow on to the 2006 film, An Inconvenient Truth, and is about former US vice president Al Gore’s mission to battle climate change. It received a nomination for best documentary in 2017 but had a very limited showing on screens in SA.
The screening will take place at 9.30am in the auditorium.
Referring to the original 2006 production, the producer says: “Everything in the movie has come to pass. At the time there was Hurricane Katrina, now we have extreme weather events every other week. The update has to be incredible and shocking.”
