Live DVD recording at Gospel Goes Classical at Carnival City

Carnival City’s Big Top Arena will provide the stage for the fifth edition of the highly acclaimed Gospel Goes Classical showcase on October 27.

This show and live DVD is set to stand out as one of the most memorable concerts of 2018 with artists from five different countries appearing. The Africa worship-themed show features artists from South Africa, United States, Nigeria, Ghana and Switzerland.

The stellar line-up this year will feature the likes of Joe Mettle, Nduduzo Matse and Ntokozo Mbambo and, topping the bill, the world-renowned Vashawn Mitchell from the USA.

Few gospel singers can compare to Mitchell who is the most nominated artist at the 27th Annual Stellar Awards. He is also a nominee for two Grammy awards and two DOVE awards.

Joining Mitchell on stage is South Africa’s own Mbambo. Having shared the stage with international artists such as Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin and Cece Winans, Mbambo is no stranger to lovers of gospel music. This SAMA, Crown Gospel and Africa Gospel awards winner is ready to lift the roof with her much loved praise and worship.

Lebohang Kgapola, Takie Ndou, Tshepo Price, Keneiloe Hope, Sicelo Moya, the Classical Worship Choir and Yvonne May also form part of the line-up. All performing artists will be joined by a full orchestra and a 35-member choir.

Tickets can be booked at Computicket, ranging in price from R240 to R450 a person. Doors open at 6pm and the recording starts at 7.30pm.
