Local organisations address socio-economic issues

These entities are among the biggest employers as highlighted by the Department of Higher Education and Training.

NPO’s/NGO’s play such a critical part in advocating for change in socio economic programmes, good governance, education, skills development, poverty eradication, healthcare, gender-based violence, substance abuse, crime elimination and so much more.

Organisations that aim to uplift and help others are at the forefront of addressing the country’s most pressing issues.

These entities are among the biggest employers as highlighted by the Department of Higher Education and Training.

They play a vital role in filling gaps where government resources may be insufficient or inaccessible.

They also serve as beacons of hope, offering support and resources to marginalised communities.

“As Izithelo ZeNkosi Foundation we have seen the need to bring these organisations or people who aspire to take this route to drive change in the communities under one roof.

“We aim to empower them with the following skills but not limited to structural importance, compliance, fundraising tools, marketing and branding, networking, stakeholder relations and implementation of programmes,” said Thulani Koaho of Izithelo ZeNkosi.

The NPO is set to hold an event on September 11 at Motsu Park to help address these issues and help NPOs find proper guidance on steps they can follow as they will be required to have proper complying documents in order for them to receive funding.
