Man caught with an unlicensed firearm
Suspect arrested after being found in possession of an illegal firearm in Ivory Park.
A 28-year-old man was arrested on July 12 for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
On July 11, officers from the Ekurhuleni District Crime Intelligence Unit received information regarding a man who was in possession of an unlicensed firearm in Ivory Park Ext 2.

The following day the information was operationalised and a team from the EMPS and SAPS as well as security companies found the man.
The officers asked for permission to search the man and his room.
During the search of the suspect, officers found a silver revolver with four live rounds of ammunition.
The suspect was asked to produce the licence, which he failed to produce, resulting in his arrest.
The man was detained at Ivory Park Police Station.
