Recovering addicts spread positive massage to young adults

At Arebaokeng Day Care, members of the TDRC shared words of wisdom with youngsters, encouraging them to stay away from drugs.

The Tembisa Drugs Rehabilitation Centre (TDRC) recently visited Arebaokeng Day Care to share their positive message.

“We are a group of recovering addicts who all went through difficulties.

“We hurt the ones we love by stealing and committing crimes against our families and our communities,” said Thato Matome, the founder of TDRC.

He said that the group thanks God for their second chance.

“Today we are changed men that are now going to schools, churches and drug dens to spread the word about the danger of using drugs.”

Matome said he hoped to set an example to the community.

“Drugs are killing our youth, and if we fail to protect them, we will fail our future leaders.”
