Kempton’s F-Stop photographers reimagine images ‘straight out of camera’
The F-Stop Photography Club meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 32 Malpensa Avenue in Bonaero Park.
Kempton Park’s F-Stop Photographic Society recently announced the winners of its May in-house competition.
This month’s winners were announced at the club’s meeting held on May 8.
The theme for the month was ‘Straight out of Camera’.
Photographs are judged in different star levels, with those in the one-star category classified as beginners, while five-star and five-star honours are for the top-ranking photographers in the club.

Junior photographers receive stars from one to three, while senior photographers are graded under four stars, five stars and five-star honours.
An external judge chooses the best photograph.
Other awards include photographs chosen in the best of grade and the best senior and junior photographers.
The overall winner is chosen as the best of the event.
This month, Kay-Leight Moore was the one-star best of grade with a shot of a Sunrise Warbler, while Juanita Ackhurst was awarded best of grade for her two-star shot titled Playtime.
The award for best junior, as well as the best of grade, was handed to Deidre Schnetler for her photograph titled Waiting.

In the senior section of the competition, Fraser Bryce scooped the best of grade, best senior, best of theme and best of event for his shots titled Legacy Street and Sunset Lining.
Annaline Werth and Arnold Bester were announced as best of grade each for their five-star and five-star honours photographs, Sunrise in Port Edward and Kayaking.
