Kempton SAPS arrest two suspects for theft

The two suspects will soon appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s court on charges of house robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

The Kempton Park SAPS detectives’ tracing team arrested two suspects on April 23 for possession of property taken during a house burglary on April 22.

According to Kempton Park SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Dipuo Ditshego, Captain Moloi and his tracing team revisited the crime scene on North Rand Road to obtain witness statements to help trace and apprehend the suspects who committed a house burglary and stole a motor vehicle.

“The witnesses gave tangible statements that resulted in two men aged 24 and 44 being arrested in the Kempton Park area.

“They were found with items taken during the house robbery, and the vehicle, a metallic blue Polo, also taken, was recovered at Rabie Ridge,” said Dipuo.

“The victim identified the stolen items, and they were handed over to him.”

The two suspects will soon appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s court on charges of house robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

The Kempton Park SAPS acting station commander, Colonel Obed Mashalane, applauded the detectives’ hard work, dedication, and efforts in ensuring those who commit crimes face the full might of the law.
