Ward 91 seniors invited for workout sessions

The sessions start at 07:30 until 08:30.

Ward 91 seniors are invited to join morning workout sessions every Tuesday and Thursday at the Coen Scholtz Community Hall.

The sessions start at 07:30 and conclude at 08:30.

Sebolelo Tlhako, a community advocate for the elderly and disabled in Ward 91, said that the goal of the sessions is to rejuvenate the seniors for them to feel good about themselves, walk tall and interact with others.

“Exercise calms your body and nerves, reducing anxiety and promoting positivity around you, allowing you to radiate your own light.

“Never lose confidence in yourself. It also keeps people upbeat and eager to face the next day,” said Tlhako.

She said attendance is free and they have a professional instructor who has offered her time to assist Ward 91 vintage seniors with wellness and sessions as a support for community building.
