Illegal hawkers were also advised on how on obtain appropriate documentation.

The EMPD Bronberg conducted a by-laws enforcement operation on October 25.

The EMPD acknowledged a complaint received about homeless persons seeking shelter in an abandoned building, situated in isolation on Vlei Road.

Officers conducted a survey and since the place was deemed not safe for habitation, two men had to evacuate the dwelling.

Further arrangements were made with local social workers to intervene.

The EMPD urges all vendors to visit their nearest customer care centre to obtain valid trading permits and to avoid prosecution.
