Thembisa’s NPO spreads love to children on Mandela Day

The NPO's mission aligns perfectly with Mandela's vision of empowering individuals and fostering community development.

Ideation to Startup, an NPO dedicated to nurturing women’s ideas and transforming them into operational businesses, celebrated Mandela Day by brightening the lives of children at Bula Mahlo Home in Thembisa’s Lifateng Section.

The organisation, supported by generous sponsors such as Mahlasedi Foundation, Masha’s Kitchen, Constable Kgomotso Senoamadi from SAPS Tembisa, and Kholofelo Mutavhatsindi, took the opportunity to spend quality time with the children and spread love and joy.

As a gesture of solidarity, they donated sanitary towels, toiletries, drawing books, teddy bears, and refreshments to 34 children and three caregivers.

The visit by Ideation to Startup NPO served as a reminder of the collective responsibility to uplift communities.

Representing Ideation to Startup NPO were Karabo Makgamatho (secretary) and Makoena Semenya (PR officer).

Mandela Day, celebrated annually on July 18th, is a special occasion that encourages acts of compassion, unity, and positive change in communities worldwide.

Ideation to Startup NPO embraced this spirit of generosity and chose Bula Mahlo Home as their destination this year.

The donation of sanitary towels and toiletries helps ensure the children’s personal hygiene needs are met, demonstrating the organisation’s commitment to making a meaningful difference.
