Four-legged friends at Kempton’s SPCA seek forever homes

The local society reserves the right to reject or refuse the application.

These are the steps to follow when adopting a pet from the Kempton Park SPCA:

1. Choose an animal and fall in love.

2. Complete the application to adopt the animal. Pay R200 (non-refundable) deposit. You need a copy of your ID and proof of residence.

3. The staff will inspect your application.

4. The adoption process could take up to seven working days to complete. Pre-homes are ONLY conducted between 10:00 and 14:00, Monday to Friday.

Baily is an adult male Pekingese-cross in search of a loving home.

5. On approval of the application and pre-home inspection, the balance of the adoption fee is payable.

6. The animal will go for sterilisation as soon as there is space at the vet after approval of the home inspection.

7. Take your fur-baby home.

Adoption fees:

• Dog: R1 300 (includes sterilisation, micro-chip, first vaccination, first de-wormer and tag).

• Cat: R950 (includes sterilisation, first vaccination, first de-wormer and micro-chip optional).
