Police visit orphanage in Ivory Park
According to Ivory Park SAPS spokesperson Captain Ben Matimulane, the officers were not only there for educational purposes.
As part of ongoing outreach initiatives, the police visited a local orphanage this weekend in Ext 2, Ivory Park.

The police, through the Social Crime Prevention Desk, joined hands with the Department of Community Safety and the Youth Crime Prevention Desk to educate the orphans at the Bathabeleng Home about human trafficking and substance abuse and to discourage them from joining gangs and engaging in crime.
According to Ivory Park SAPS spokesperson Captain Ben Matimulane, the officers were not only there for educational purposes.

“The police station in Ivory Park was able to persuade officers to donate unused clothing and feminine products so they could give back to the community,” said Matimulane.
