Patrons were encouraged to return any overdue material because there would be no extra charges during that week.

CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini explained that patrons who might have missed the return date of books or library material could drop them off at their nearest library, and no questions would be asked.

“Those who wish to hold on to the books for longer are advised to physically visit a library and get them re-issued for record purposes,’’ said Dlamini.

He added that patrons could also call their nearest libraries to extend their lending period, provided the return date has not yet passed.
