“As I was turning right into Blaauwklippen Road.

“All I saw was the bike hitting my car and the driver flying off the motor vehicle,” said the driver of one of the other vehicles involved.

“The momentum from the impact caused the vehicle to collide with a second car.

“I remember seeing the motorcyclist flying in the air, and he inevitably landed on my windscreen,” said James Smith, the driver of another vehicle caught up in the collision.

Smith recalled how people on the scene tried to restrain Tarusenga until medical personnel arrived.

Tarusenga was allegedly alive for almost 10 minutes before he died on the scene.

The Express spoke to one of his friends, one of the first people on the scene after learning of the accident.

“When I arrived, he was lying next to one of the vehicles. It looked as if he was not breathing. That’s when I noticed that this was a horrible crash.
