The team, which participates in the SAFA Thembisa Region stream, was established in 2023 after it was bought by chairperson Phuti Moloto.

Known as Pule United FC, the team has been training at a soccer field on Krokodil Street in Norkem Park.

“The pitch is in an awful state. Attempts were made to get assistance from the municipality and a proposal was sent to a local school for assistance with training facilities but nothing came out of it,” said head coach of Crocodile FC, Mpho Makgotlho.

According to the coach, the team has been doing fairly well under his leadership and the newly formed technical team.

“When I was appointed to the position last year, the team was languishing at the bottom of the log but we managed to save the team from relegation in the last game of the season.

“Subsequently, the team underwent a major shake-up, new players were brought in and a new experienced technical team was assembled to take the team to new heights,” said the coach.

The newly appointed technical team include technical director Moloto, team administrator Rhulani, assistant coach Brian, goalkeeper coach Abe, attackers coach Collen and performance analyst Kay Kay.

“The team has ambitions to be promoted to the SAB League in the current season and to be a source of inspiration to the community and surrounding areas.”

The club features teams from U15 to seniors.

“As head of the team I am pleading with the community for support in terms of sponsorships, a training field and community involvement or support,” said Makgotlho.
