Local princess crowned Little Miss Universe in Turkey

All contestants were carefully monitored during their time and judges paid special attention to manners and conversational skills.

Eight-year-old Kempton Park resident, Gabriella Bryant, was crowned Little Miss Universe 2022 in Turkey on October 20.

The judging included a 10-day program of performing talent, showcasing themselves and their country in a recorded video production and several photo shoots.

All contestants were carefully monitored during their time and judges paid special attention to manners and conversational skills.

The contestants from around the world enjoyed their time visiting the last house of Mother Mary in Turkey.

The outing was a highlight of the trip for Gabriella, a learner at Maranatha Christian School in Kempton Park.

At the gala event, Gabriella hit the ramp in her national outfit, denim casual wear and evening wear.

She was dressed to impress for the occasion by Angie Bryant Couture, Genesis Couture and Pretty Me Designs.

Her ballet performance won her the award of Miss Talent. The choreography was prepared by Charlotte Mitchell from Reflections Ballet Studio in Kempton Park.

Gabriella also scooped the Sympathy Award for her charity work around Kempton Park.

Deon Krause from All Stars Modelling Academy coached Gabriella throughout her journey.

She is contracted to GAPA Model Agency and Gabriella thanked the community for their support and assistance leading up to the crowning.
