The MSC Orchestra boat cruise is a reward for Nathan as he was announced as the Figures Face of The Year 2022 on August 1.

Nathan’s mother, Lola Ludik, said he (Nathan) will also get to meet international agents on the boat.

“He is a member of the Figures Models Finesse International Kempton Park and as part of the competition, they had to send in photos through their agencies,” said the proud mother, Lola.

“Nathan was elated; after coming second in two other competitions he came running into the room shouting ‘I won’ with the biggest smile on his face.”

Mona Swanepoel, Nathan’s trainer, said there were 69 entries from all over South Africa and Namibia.

“Each Figures area chose their top 10 entries and sent them in for judging,” explained Mona.

“They had to send in head and shoulder photos and were judged on facial features and how photogenic they were.”

Online games and ice skating form part of Nathan’s hobbies. He has been a model for less than a year. His recent win is the third podium position achievement.

“He started last year in October. From the first moment I saw him in the coffee shop I knew he had the potential to do well in the model industry,” said Mona.

“He was second at the Model of the Year 2021 Men Commercial held last year December and second at the International Model of the Year 2022 Men held this year in June.
