Local NGO gives back to the community.

School uniforms, according to the founder George Mfana Shikhati prevent children from impoverished families from developing an inferior complex.

“Not every family has the financial means to provide their child with the necessary school supplies.

“Donations ensure that everyone in the classroom has the basic tools they need to succeed in school.

“When you contribute school supplies, you relieve many families of a financial burden that has an impact on how well their children are prepared for school,” Shikhati said.

According to Mfana, the organisation is reliant on funding.

“We normally host events to raise funds and solicit donations from the public via social media platforms.

“Covid limited us in terms of how we raise funds because we were not allowed to host events at one point, and it is never easy for the public to assist while they are going through unemployment.”
