The youngster urgently needs sponsorship to travel abroad for the competition.

For aspiring singers and entertainers like Moloto, this international competition is often called the “Talent Olympics.”

Contestant selections took place in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, Asia and South Africa.

A Parade of Nations, a Worldstars boot camp, and a global livestream announcing the global grand champions will be among the highlights of the event.

Over a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships and prizes will be awarded to the various winners.

This is the opportunity that the learner of Sir Pierre Van Ryneveld High School has been waiting for.

The competition will take place in June and she will need R150 000 to help her accomplish her dreams.

Moloto is seeking funding from local businesses or individuals to help her accomplish her dream.

“I’ve always wanted to be a well-known artist in a thriving entertainment industry, and now I have the chance to do so with the help of the community.

“I believe that one can find support from community members who believe in one’s craft by investing in them, and I’m hoping to find people who will do the same for me as I aim to make it overseas.

“I believe that with the help of others, I will achieve my goal and be successful.”

Anyone willing to support Moloto may contact her parents Pollen Moloto on 081 772 5154 or Yvonne Mainetja Moloto on 062 259 2596.
