Boxers to take to the ring

The announcement of Koopmans match was made on January 25 at a press conference at the Palace of Dreams.

Primrose resident and South African junior middleweight champion Shervantaigh Koopman is set to defend his title against Jami Webb of Cape Town during the undercard of the Heavyweight Mania Box and Dine Tournament at Emperors Palace on March 26.

The announcement of Koopman’s match was made on January 25 at a press conference at the Palace of Dreams.

At the conference, it was announced that world cruiserweight boxing star, Kevin “Two Guns” Lerena was making a welcome return to the ring.

Lerena makes his return as a cruiserweight but with his sights set on glory in the heavyweight ranks.

He will headline the tournament in his first foray into this division against Romania’s Bogdan Dinu for the vacant WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title.

On the evening, SA heavyweight champion Juan Roux will defend his title against Joshua Pretorius.
