Avion u-10 Impala 2 side faced Benoni Northerns and won by nine wickets

Avion Park Cricket Club participated in several games on October 22 and 23.
On October 22, the Avion u-10 Impala 2 side faced Benoni Northerns and won by nine wickets.

Benoni batted first, scoring 189 all out in 24.3 overs.
The Avion u-10s replied with 190 for the loss of one wicket in 21.4 overs.
Dylan Nel scored 52 runs not out, while Christiaan de Wet raked in 64 runs undefeated.

The top bowler for the game was Nathan Senekal, who took two wickets for 24 runs in four overs.
The Avion u-8 Impala 1 side took on Benoni Northerns.
The game saw Benoni win by 43 runs after batting first to score 140 for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.

Avion replied with 97 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs.
Tristan Dippenaar was crowned the best Avion batsman, scoring 38 runs not out.
James Kitching and Luwan Mulder each took one wicket for 11 runs in their bowling spells.

The Avion u-8 Impala 2 side took on rivals from Kempton Park Cricket Club in a game which saw Kempton take the win by seven wickets.
Avion batted first and scored 74 all out.

The top-scoring batsmen for the game were Jodey Coertse with 31 runs and Henru Strauss with 16 runs.
Kempton Park replied with 76 for the loss of three runs.

Avan Fourie took one wicket for four runs in one over, while Corniel Hefer walked away with one wicket for 17 runs in two overs in their bowling sessions.
The Avion u-8 Carnival side took on Wattville.

Little players from Avion batted first scored 43 before they were all out in the 15th over.
Wattville replied with 47 for the loss of three wickets in the seventh over.

Juandre van Rensburg scored 19 runs, while bowler Handrè Cronjè took two wickets for four runs.
Wattville won by seven wickets.

Avion’s u-10 Impala 1 side took on Alberton and won by 20 runs.
Avion batted first and scored 141 for the loss of five wickets in 25 overs.
In reply, Alberton scored 121 all out in 24.4 overs.

The best bowlers for the game were William James, who took three wickets for 24 runs in four overs and Kai Muller, who scooped up two wickets for 12 runs in two overs.

Marnus van Rooyen led the cream of the batting crop with 38 runs not out, while Davin Krynauw scored 17 runs.
Avion u-10 Carnival side faced Old Bens.
Old Bens batted first scoring 137 runs for the loss of three wickets in 25 overs.

Avion replied with 109 all out. Old Bens won the match by 28 runs.
The Avion u-12 Carnival side faced Old Bens at Laerskool Die Arend.
Avion batted first and put up a score of 77 all out in 16 overs.
Jaison Scheepers was the top batsman with 37 runs.
In reply, Old Bens smashed 78 runs for the loss of two wickets in just eight overs.

Jaison Scheepers took one wicket for 17 runs in his two bowling overs, while Zander Ferreira pocketed one wicket for five runs in his one over bowled.

Old Bens won the match by eight wickets.
The Avion u-12 Sun side took on Benoni Northerns at Laerskool Brentwood Park fields.
Avion batted first and accumulated 169 for the loss of seven wickets in 25 batting overs.

Benoni Northerns put up a good fight but were bowled out for 159 in the 25th over.
Marais Bruwer scored an undefeated 51 runs from just 28 balls, while Jandre Potgieter tallied up 43 runs.

The pick of the bowlers for the game was Gerrie Beetge with two wickets for 13 runs in four overs and Kian Oelofse, who took two wickets for nine runs in two overs.

Avion won the match by 10 runs.
Avion’s u-14 Impala side took on Tsakani at Hoërskool Kempton Park.

Avion batted first and set up an unbeatable 159 for the loss of eight wickets in 25 overs.
In reply, Tsakani were all out for 94 runs in 24 overs.
Bowler Donavan Stahnke took two wickets for six runs in three overs.

At the top of the batting table were Keagan Pretorius, with 34 runs and Micaela Edwards with 29 runs to give Avion the win by 67 runs.
