Man arrested for rape

The child's mother alleges her son was playing with friends when he was called by the suspect, who asked the child to accompany him to his house.

The Tembisa police arrested a 43-year-old male for allegedly raping a 10-year-old boy at Entshonalanga section on Friday last week.

The suspect was arrested the next day.

The child’s mother said her son came home crying. He told her what had happened and the mother took her son to the police

The Tembisa SAPS spokesperson, Constable Tebogo Sesing, confirmed that a case of rape was opened.

“The suspect was traced and was arrested the day after the incident. He is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court,” said Const Sesing.
