Four hi-jackers nabbed in Tembisa

A Mercedes Benz sedan hijacked in a Midrand estate on Friday night was recovered by Ekurhuleni Metro Police Community Liaison Unit members in Tembisa on Sunday morning (24 Aug). Four suspects in the hijacked vehicle were arrested.

Metro Police members sighted the vehicle in Ndayeni section and gave chase. The vehicle was cornered in Ivory Park after it had lost control and rammed into a fence.

All four suspects, aged between 26 and 34, were taken to Tembisa police station where a case of possession of a stolen vehicle was registered against them. They were however, expected to be transported to Midrand where the case of hijacking of the vehicle was originally registered.
