The De Beer sisters from Bonaero Park are making the city proud as they shine in their school careers.
Little sister Lara (12) was appointed deputy head girl of Arbor Primary School in Benoni this year, exactly five years after sister Nicole (17) was named head girl. Nicole has since moved on to Grade 12 at Benoni High School, where she serves on the representative council of learners.
The sisters’ talents don’t stop at their leadership skills. Both swim for the Benoni Swimming Club at competitive level, participate in the eisteddfod and play hockey. Lara also takes part in netball, shot put, public speaking and drama.
Nicole and Lara say they are looking forward to ending their school careers on a high note.
