WATCH: Immortal Guardians give back to less fortunate in Bredell

Before leaving, the kids got an opportunity to hop onto the club’s bikes and took some cool photos on them

IMMORTAL Guardians MC made Mandela Month a little more special for the less fortunate on Sunday.

The bikers club, one of the biggest in SA, visited a caravan park in Bredell where food packages, clothes, toiletries and toys to every single family living there were donated.

First, the kiddies and teenagers received gift packs, toys and packs containing snacks. What made the gifts extra special was the fact that they were addressed with the name of every child.

Then, the food packages were handed out to all the families. The food packs contained coffee, tea, maize meal, sugar and juice. Bags of fruit and vegetables were also handed out.

The community also received blankets, bags of clothes and toiletries. The mothers with babies also received boxes filled with baby necessities.

The day was made extra special for little Richard Kruger, who turned 7 on Sunday. Everyone gathered to wish him a happy birthday and he received an extra bag of sweets. They also sang to him while he was standing on top of a car, with a huge smile on his face.

His mother wrote a letter to EXPRESS on Monday morning to give a huge thank you to the bikers.

“Thank you to bikers for what they did for us, and for giving us all the amazing food packages, sweets and toys for the families and kids,” she wrote.

“And thank you for also making my son Richard’s 7th birthday the best ever. I would just like to thank you for the amazing things you brought for Lulu and all her tenants and most important what you did for my little boy; it is something he will remember for ever.

“You lifted him up and sang happy birthday to him and spoilt him rotten. It was the nicest thing I have ever seen. I can tell that you all have hearts of gold to take time out on your weekends to help others. I wish the whole world could be like that. I hope that God blesses you all and keeps you all safe on those beautiful bikes that you all have. I hope we will see you again.”

Before leaving, the kids got an opportunity to hop onto the club’s bikes and took some cool photos on them.

The group would also like to thank the following sponsors: Jackie Basson of Filrec, Suran from BHS Bearings, Raymond Pendlebury of Landshark It, Springs SAPS, Ghost Riders South, Hell Razors as well as Food Lovers Market.

RICHARD Kruger, who turned 7 on Sunday, had everyone sing for him and he received an extra bag of sweets.

Immortal Guardians is one of the biggest motorcycle clubs in the country, with members from all over South Africa. They were inspired to register themselves as an NPC (non-profit company) in May this year after meeting and helping seven-year-old Damien Cloete, a cancer patient. The bikers met him while on a breakfast run when Cloete asked if he could take a photo with his teddy bear on one of the motorbikes.

“This little boy inspired Immortal Guardians MC, who has always been involved in charity events, to register a legal NPC in order to assist many more families and show that there is still hope in this cruel world we live in. Together we can all make a difference in someone’s life,” the bikers said.
