Local beauty eyes Miss United Continents SA

THE Miss United Continents SA pageant is looking for a new title-holder.
Tyla Steyn of Croydon, a business management student, has been selected as one of the finalists for this year’s competition.
The Grand Finale will be held on Saturday, April 22 at the Arto Theatre in Pretoria. The winner will represent South Africa at the international pageant in Guayaquil, Ecuador in September.
The pageant empowers women with the knowledge to bring about change to communities in need. It is a platform for young women to become charity and culture ambassadors within South Africa and the broader international community.
The 23-year-old finalist will be collecting any unwanted clothing, blankets and household items as well as donations of food, stationery and money for various charitable causes. Tyla is also looking to volunteer her services at any local charity or fundraising event. For more details, see her official Facebook page.
