Nearly 7 500 cars hijacked in Gauteng

'Am I the only one who believe that the police are not doing enough'

According to my vehicle tracking company, a whopping 7 367 cars were hijacked in Gauteng alone during the past year.

Now the average length of a medium-sized sedan is 4.925m. Simple math shows that if you park the hijacked cars bumper-to-bumper with no gaps next to the road, this row of cars will stretch from the CBD in Kempton Park, via the R24, N3 and M2, all the way to Gold Reef City on the southern side of Johannesburg (36.3 km).

Seems to me our men in blue are losing this battle against the criminals. Maybe they should realise that contact-crimes are the main reason for highly skilled people emigrating and turning their backs on SA.

Am I the only one who believe that the police are not doing enough to protect those whose tax money is meekly paying for their salaries month after month?
