Norkem Primary hosts annual sports festival
The 14 football and 14 netball teams competed in friendly matches
NORKEM Park Primary School’s A team took the netball cup and Supersport United Soccer School the football cup at Norkem Primary School’s annual sports festival at the weekend.
The festival, which took place from May 20 to 22, saw 14 football and 14 netball teams compete in friendly matches.
The mission of the festival is to give children from all backgrounds an opportunity to play in a professional and well-organised environment. Very few children get to play professional sport and this is a great opportunity for them to feel like superstars.

In football, Cresslawn Primary School came second and Birch Acres Primary School third.
In netball, Norkem’s B team took second place and Colin Mann Primary School came third.
