Norkem and Sir Pierre to meet in soccer derby
Both schools are encouraging all ex-pupils and players to come and join in the festival
THE two powerhouses of local school football will once again test their strengths, to decide the top dog in Kempton Park.
The annual Classic Clash or Kemp Classico, as it is fondly known, will be held at Norkem Park High School on Saturday.
There will be a full programme of entertaining football and cultural events, which will kick off at 8.30am with the u/14s and finish with the two first teams going head to head at 12.20pm.
Norkem Park High has won this trophy in the past two years, but form seems never to play a role in this tightly contested rivalry.
There is an option of paying R20 on the day, at the school, or purchasing pre-sold tickets at R10 from the school. There will be food stalls and snacks for sale.
Both schools are encouraging all ex-pupils and players to come and join in the festival of football, to support their old schools.
