New veggie garden and painted walls for boys at All Star Shelter

The company also held a braai for the boys to enjoy while they spent time together

THE boys at the All Star Shelter enjoyed a good night’s rest, with their freshly painted walls and newly repaired roof to keep the cold winter wind from giving them the chills.

That’s because Midrand company MSW visited the shelter on Friday, last week, as part of the national Mandela Day campaign.

The interior and exterior walls of the home were re-painted and the roof was repaired and replastered, as it had been damaged due to years of wear and tear, resulting in leaks during the rainy season and cold air coming through.

The engineering and project management consultants firm also planted a brand new vegetable garden for the home, consisting of a wide variety of healthy plants, including spinach, peas, onions and cabbage – a winning combination for a great recipe for a winter soup.

And, finally, to end off the long hard work’s day, the company also held a braai for the boys to enjoy, while they spent time together.
