Thembisa hijacked vehicle recovered by EMPD
The officers found a vehicle, a silver-grey VW Polo Vivo hatchback, matching the description of the reported hijacked vehicle.
EMPD officers recovered a vehicle after it was taken during a hijacking in Thembisa recently.

The officers received a call regarding the location of a motor vehicle that was hijacked in on Freedom Street in Ivory Park.
EMPD media liaison officer Marie Mashishi said the officers proceeded to the coordinates given to them by the vehicle tracking company.
On arrival, the officers found a vehicle, a silver-grey VW Polo Vivo hatchback, matching the description of the reported hijacked vehicle.
She added that the male victim was returning home from a night out at a local tavern in Ivory Park.

When he arrived at his gate, two male suspects approached him and forcibly took his vehicle.
“The victim immediately called the police and reported the incident to the vehicle tracking company. By 07:00, the vehicle was found abandoned in Ndayeni Section in Thembisa,” said Mashishi.
She told the Thembisan that during investigations, officers found that two wheels, the battery, a smartphone and a wallet were removed from the vehicle.
