Flying squad make two arrests

On June 12, officers patrolling the N12 toward Joburg pulled over a gold Toyota Fortuner at the Snake Road off-ramp.

In the vehicle’s rear, the officers found bundles of copper wire valued at about R10 000.

Officers arrested the two occupants when they could not provide a valid explanation. They appeared in the Benoni Magistrate’s court on charges of possession of suspected stolen goods.

In further policing, the BFS recovered three abandoned hijacked vehicles.

The vehicles were a white Nissan NP300 found on Reading Road, Actonville, reported on a Boksburg North case, a white Fuso truck on Spartan Road, Kempton Park, reported on a Putfontein case and a white Hino truck behind a filling station on New Modder Road, Benoni, reported on a Parys case.
