Thembisa DJ duo takes to the world

The Duo made favourable outcomes by growing in the industry.

The Duo was born out of pure coincidence.

Hectic and Siya from Thembisa met in 2012 through a group that was called Abo Tz.

“As we were both part of the group, our friendship bond became stronger and we started our own brand without the group.

IvyLeagueThursdays hosted by The Duo.

“Growing up at Thembisa, home of many artists, without any good background, we managed to overcome all those circumstances.

The Duo, who recently released the popular song Level Up with the famous artist, Bontle Smith was out to change the narrative of 1632 DJs.

“Honesty, we don’t get influenced when doing music. We just do whatever we feel in the studio and contact who we think will be right to set or lay vocals to a specific beat.‘

The Duo are dj’s and producers by profession, venturing into events.

They have started a new movement called SIN that happens on a month-to-month basis.

According to The Duo they also host the weekly the IvyLeagueThursdays at The HangAwt 1632.

In addition, The Duo said growing up bitten by the music and listening to the great sounds of old classic house music of Oskido, Fistaz Mixwell was the source of making their vocals a hit.

They joined forces, planned and together have created a reputable brand that is not only favoured by clubs and event promoters but by the crowds too.

With the help of TikTok, they are known for bringing new trends and music.

“Our biggest inspiration has to be Black Coffee and DJ Shimza.

“We want to see ourselves travelling the world doing what we love and seeing our event being one of the biggest events in the world,” said Siya and Hectic.
