Draft water services by-laws participation resumes

Residents have until April 14 to submit their written comments on the proposed by-laws.

Community members are advised that the draft water services by-laws public meetings halted a few weeks ago have resumed.

The process resumed after a break in February, and the first session since then was held on March 13.

Residents are encouraged to study the draft water service by-laws to know their rights to water and sanitation services.

One can view the draft by-laws on the city’s website at www.ekurhuleni.gov.za.

Residents have until April 14 to submit their written comments on the proposed by-laws.

Email your comments to waterservicebylaw@ekurhuleni.gov.za, or visit the office of the HoD for water and sanitation for the City of Ekurhuleni on the sixth floor of the civic centre in Boksburg on the corner of Trichardts and Market streets.

Alternatively, the public can visit their nearest customer care centre.

The public meetings will be held on March 27 from 14:00 to 16:30 at the Kempton Park Civic Centre and on March 13 from 14:00 to 16:30 at the Olifantsfontein Hall.
