Getting to know the new Miss Thembisa

Sibiya aims to be of great influence in the community.

The world of pageants has opened doors for people like the 23-year-old Emma Sibiya, who was recently crowned Miss Tembisa 2022 after showcasing her talents on stage at the civic centre in Kempton Park on November 12.

Sibiya has a national diploma in leadership and generic management and is pursuing a national diploma in financial management.

Sibiya has consistently radiated self-assurance and aggressiveness.

“I am an advocate for change leadership training and character building as an avenue to eliminate the cycle of poverty in our community.

“I make weekly efforts to do this by participating in a variety of projects in my community and nearby schools, which allows me to mentor and be directly involved in educating young people on leadership qualities and so forming my town’s future leaders.

Sibiya felt a great sense of gratitude and responsibility as the current queen and aspires to one day wear the Miss South Africa crown.

“As Miss Tembisa I will be promoting my leadership and management mentorship program in more Thembisa high schools and primary schools in the surrounding neighbourhoods near Winnie Mandela Park.

“I’ll be assisting more modest non-profit organizations in Thembisa with their projects and financing acquisitions, as well as guiding aspiring models in regional pageants held in Thembisa,” said Sibiya.
