First up, Avion U8 players faced Old Bens U8’s Impala side.

Avion won the toss and chose to field first. Old Bens were all out for 38 in just the ninth over. In reply Avion reached 39/2 in the fifth over.

The best bowler for the match was Luwan Mulder who took two wickets for just one run in one over.

Best batsman for the day was Reegan Oelofse who secured 21 runs not out in 17 deliveries.

Next up, Avion U8s took on the Thembisa Sibali side at Kruinsig.

Thembisa won toss and elected to bat first, scoring 62/5 in 20 overs. In reply, Avion smashed 65/6 in 20 overs.

The best bowler was Marcel who took 2/5 followed by Kellan who secured one wicket for two runs.

The cream of the batting crop went to Joey with 10 runs and Joshua with nine runs.

Avion CC’s U10 Impala side was up nexta in their match against Kempton Park.

Avion batted first and scored 101 runs all out. Kempton replied with 102 runs in the ninth over.

The Avion U10 Kingham side faced Etwatwa in Brentwoodpark

The start of the match was delayed due to a wet pitch and the overs for the match were reduced to 20 overs per side.

Etwatwa scored 64 runs all. Avions top bowlers for the match were Elandre Steyn with 2/6 in two overs, Liandro Mulder with 3/2 in two overs and Rieuwert Buitenbos with 2/1 in two overs.

In reply, Avion smashed 66 runs for the loss of one wicket in 10 overs.

The top batsmen for the match were Stephen (Loupies) Loubser with 33 not out and Liandro Mulder with 20 runs.
Avion also faced Champions at Serengeti in another U10 game.

Avion batted first and scored 98 runs. DJ and Mikey each raked up 18 runs. The champions replied in a nail biter with 91 runs for Avion to win by seven runs.

Luhan took 4/3 while Liam and DJ each walked away with one wicket.
