The fundraiser, entitled Adventure with a Cause (AWAC), will start at 19:00 with tickets costing R195 per person.

Organiser Grace Purnell said guests can anticipate a fun-filled evening to the beat of the Barnyard’s popular Nineties versus Noughties show.

“This is our first fundraiser, though we hope it won’t be the last. Our goal is to raise R50 000 to help our rhinos.

“There will be a raffle table where people can purchase tickets at various prices. A weekend getaway at a farm in Vivo, Limpopo, is up for grabs. The winner will learn a lot about rhinos and survival skills,” said Grace.

Their concerted efforts to conserve the habitat also serve to protect other near-threatened species.

From being one person’s passion, the NPO grew to become renowned in rhino conservation circles and their presence ensures the survival of not only rhinos but also the other near-threatened species in the area.

Insimbi Legacy Projects is the proud custodian of rhinos in private ownership and the last frontier in protecting this magnificent animal.
